Corcovado, which means "hunchback" in Portuguese, is a mountain in the Tijuca Forest in the heart of the city. It is known worldwide for the 38-meters statue of Jesus atop its peak, entitled Christ the Redeemer, which was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
